Report from czech premiere of Morgan Heritage
Finally! To see and hear family band Morgan Heritage has been my dream since more than 10 years ago, when I found out about their production. I got to see them last year on two foreign festivals, but I didn’t know yet, that we’ll be so lucky to see them in April 2014 in Prague, too. And on the club concert, what can be disadvantage sometimes, but in this case it was completely opposite! Lucerna Music Bar had for me absolutely unique vibe from beginning till the end of all three concerts. Few people even told me, that they got so excited, that they even couldn’t leave for toilet. And at the end all people were shining bright like halogens. Also the sound, which was handled by local club soundmen, was for Czech conditions great. And this atmosphere….
If you think, that reggae in Czech republic is past its‘ prime and it actually doesn’t have anything to say to today’s youngsters, slap yourself for premature judgments and next time lift your ass up from PC and arrive to convince yourself with your own eyes. What Morgan’s showed on the stage was total euphoria on the musical, singer or arranger level and so those two hours they gave there to us, were in one word BIG, even after Kabaka has set the level pretty high. It seemed that he has here many fans too, they knows his hits, and so he has enjoyed to perform a lot and later being between the fans too. I have to mention – the night was opened by Polish Ras Luta with female vocalist I-Grades, and great after party was handled by Ama aka 12Play. Also this part makes perfect sense to me, so hopefully you enjoyed it too and maybe also learned something, because we are the scene, every one of us, the way we live, we create it. This night was the top for me, and it will be difficult to top it, but I’m really happy, that we finally reached it. I’m happy, that you were there!
