Looptroop Rockers report from Prague city
Sweden´s ugly truth is in the house! A very long anticipated concert took place in Lucerna Music Bar on the 23rd of February 2015. After a 4 year period of not playing in Czech Republic, the Looptroop Rockers came back to celebrate a night full of Joy and Love with their loyal and happy fans from Prague. The group, consisting of the three rappers, Promoe, Supreme and Cosmic and their DJ/Pruducer Embee, who was playing live drums and percussions, highly enjoyed the vibe coming from the audience and played not one, but two over times, which was very appreciated by the crowd. The show itself was sold out 3 weeks in advance, and not just the audience was looking forward, also the Artists mentioned, that they couldn’t wait to get to their tour stop in Prague. And after few minutes everybody knew why! They performed a very energetic show filled with many speeches about problems in our society, getting naked or just about plain old love. Also walls were mentioned, on the one hand connected to their hobby graffiti writing, on the other hand, they mentioned the external borders of the European Union, which in their opinion should be teared down like the Berlin wall once was.
Looptroop performed lots of their well known older straight Hiphop songs like “Long arm of the law” or “Looking for Love” as well as newer Songs with different influences from electronic music to reggae. Also some Promoe solo tracks were played. The performance itself was at the peak, when they asked the crowd if they want to hear “Bandit Queen” a song they usually don’t use in their program since like 5 years. Goosebump feeling came up, when half the audience was singing along and celebrating the final of the show. Looptroop really are Rockers! It was a very inspiring evening with an entertaining show, that found the right amount of pleasure mixed with political and social awareness!*
